Privacy policy
Effective date: August 1, 2026
This privacy notice describes how Cowtown Auto Group (“we”) collects and uses information submitted through this website. It applies to information collected by this website; where a form on this site is hosted by a third-party provider, that provider’s own privacy terms also apply, as noted below.
If you submit a pre-qualification request or a credit application, or if you finance a vehicle through us, our Financial Privacy Notice (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act) below also applies to the nonpublic personal information collected in that process. Texas residents should read Your choices and Texas privacy rights below for the rights available under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and how to appeal a decision.
Information we collect
We collect the information you voluntarily submit through our forms: contact requests, vehicle inquiries, sell-your-car requests, payment requests, pre-qualification requests, and credit applications. Depending on the form, this can include your name, phone number, email, mailing address, date of birth, income and employment details, and - on the credit application only - your Social Security Number and driver's license number.
We also record which page a form was submitted from and basic campaign parameters (such as UTM tags) so we know how you found us.
This website does not offer user accounts. We also display Google reviews on some pages; those reviews are sourced from Google and are not submitted through a form on this site.
How we use and share it
We use your information to respond to your request - to contact you about a vehicle, a cash offer, or a financing application. Form submissions are delivered to our sales team by email and into our dealer management system (DealerCenter).
We share information with service providers that help us run the dealership and this website - our dealer management system (DealerCenter), our website hosting and secure form-storage provider (Vercel), and our email provider (Zoho) - which process it on our behalf to fulfill your request.
Our pre-qualification tool is a secure form hosted by a third-party provider (DealDriver / Carzing) and embedded on our pre-qualification page. Information you enter there is submitted directly to that provider and to participating lenders to estimate what you may qualify for; that provider’s handling of your information is also governed by its own privacy terms.
If you submit a pre-qualification request or credit application, the information you provide is shared with financial institutions as necessary to process the application, as described in the credit authorization you accept when submitting. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
Social Security Numbers
Your Social Security Number is transmitted securely to our financing system for credit application processing only. This website does not store your full Social Security Number, and it is excluded from our email notifications and logs. At most, the last four digits appear in internal summaries.
How we contact you
When you submit a form on this site, you agree that Cowtown Auto Group may contact you about your request by phone, email, or text message at the contact information you provided. We contact you about your request. We send promotional calls or texts (such as specials or new arrivals) only if you separately opt in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. Message and data rates may apply to texts; reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages, or HELP for help.
Text messaging (SMS)
When you opt in to text messages from Cowtown Auto Group on our contact form, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you asked for. We will not share, sell, or rent your mobile number or your text messaging consent to any third party for their own marketing. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request. Message frequency may vary, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Financing and loan servicing for Cowtown Used Cars is provided by KCM Acceptance LLC.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to submitted information is limited to dealership staff who need it to respond to your request.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies and similar technologies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site and which pages and campaigns lead to inquiries, and Google Ads with conversion and remarketing tags, which may set advertising cookies to measure ad performance and show our ads on other sites. We also use the Meta Pixel for the same kind of ad measurement and remarketing on Meta properties. These tools may collect device and usage data such as your IP address, the pages you view, and the site that referred you. We do not send them the contents of your forms, with one exception: when you submit a lead form, we may share the email address or phone number you provided with Google and Meta in a privacy-protective hashed format so they can measure which ads lead to real inquiries. We never share application details, Social Security numbers, or financial information with advertising platforms.
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, manage ad personalization at My Ad Center, or block and delete cookies in your browser settings.

Financial Privacy Notice (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act)
Effective date: August 1, 2026
Cowtown Auto Group, operated by Speedway FW LLC (“Cowtown Auto Group,” “we,” “us”), is a used-vehicle dealer that offers and arranges financing for vehicles purchased for personal, family, or household use. Federal law treats that activity as a financial activity. This Financial Privacy Notice explains how we collect, share, and protect nonpublic personal information obtained in connection with a credit application, pre-qualification request, retail installment contract, or other financing we extend or arrange. It supplements the general Privacy Policy on this website.
This notice applies to individuals who apply for, inquire about, or obtain vehicle financing through us. It does not apply to information collected only in a cash deal that we do not help finance, and it does not apply to company or commercial-fleet transactions.
What we collect
The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:
- Social Security number
- income and employment information
- credit history and credit scores
- payment history and account balances on financing we hold
- transaction history related to your vehicle purchase and financing
We collect this information, for example, when you apply for financing or pre-qualification, give us your contact or employment information, pay on an account we hold, or use a credit application on this website or in our store. We also collect information from credit bureaus and from the financial institutions that review your application.
How we share
We share nonpublic personal information as needed to complete and service your transaction and as the law allows or requires. That includes sharing with:
- financial institutions and finance sources that review, approve, decline, or purchase a retail installment contract;
- consumer reporting agencies;
- our dealer management system and other service providers that process applications, store deal jackets, send required notices, or collect amounts due;
- insurance, service-contract, GAP, and similar product providers when you apply for or buy those products;
- title, registration, and tax authorities; and
- courts, law enforcement, and others when we believe disclosure is required or appropriate to comply with law, enforce our agreements, or protect rights and safety.
We do not sell or rent your nonpublic personal information to unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing. We do not share that information with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.
When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share information as described in this notice, but only as permitted by law (for example, to service an account we still hold, respond to a court order, or report to a credit bureau).
How to limit sharing
You cannot limit sharing we do for everyday business purposes - processing your application or contract, maintaining your account, responding to court orders and legal investigations, or reporting to credit bureaus. Because we do not share nonpublic personal information with nonaffiliates for their marketing, there is no marketing-share opt-out to return. If our sharing practices change, we will give you a revised notice and, where the law requires it, a reasonable opportunity to opt out before we share in the new way.
How we protect personal information
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to protect nonpublic personal information. Access is limited to people who need the information to do their jobs. Social Security numbers submitted through this website are transmitted securely to our financing system. This website does not store your full Social Security number.

Your choices and Texas privacy rights
You may opt out of future contact from us at any time. You may also ask us to show you the personal data we have about you, correct it, delete it, or explain how it is used.
If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives you the following rights in personal data we process about you, subject to the exceptions in that Act (including data processed subject to the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act):
- the right to confirm whether we process your personal data and to access that data;
- the right to correct inaccuracies in your personal data;
- the right to delete personal data provided by or obtained about you;
- the right to obtain a copy of personal data you previously provided to us, in a portable and readily usable format, to the extent that data is available in a digital format; and
- the right to opt out of the processing of personal data for purposes of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of a decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not process personal data for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. If that changes, we will update this notice and provide a clear method to opt out.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
How to submit a request
Submit a request by calling or texting (817) 221-8018, emailing sales@cowtownusedcars.com with the subject line “Texas Privacy Request,” or writing Cowtown Auto Group, Attn: Privacy Request, 1605 NE 28th Street, Fort Worth, TX 76106. You may also make the request in person at the Fort Worth lot. You do not have to create an account to make a request.
We may need to verify that you are the consumer who is the subject of the request. We may ask for information we already hold - for example, your name, phone number, email address, and the approximate date of your inquiry or purchase. If you use an authorized agent, we may require proof of authorization and may still verify your identity.
We will respond without undue delay and within 45 days after we receive the request. If we reasonably need more time, we will tell you within that 45-day period and may extend the deadline by up to 45 additional days. We will provide the response free of charge up to twice in a twelve-month period, unless the request is manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive.
If we decline to act on your request, we will tell you so in writing, give the reason, and explain how to appeal.
How to appeal
If we decline a request, you may appeal by sending a written appeal to the same phone number, email address, or mailing address, with the subject or attention line “Privacy Appeal.” Use the same channels you used for the original request, or any of the channels listed above. Tell us which decision you are appealing and why you believe we should reach a different result.
We will decide the appeal in writing within 60 days after we receive it and will explain the reasons for our decision. If we deny the appeal, we will also tell you how to submit a complaint to the Office of the Attorney General of Texas. You may do that through the Attorney General’s consumer-protection complaint process at the Attorney General’s website or by contacting the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reason we collected it, including to complete a vehicle or financing transaction, service an account, resolve a dispute, maintain security, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping duties.
In general:
- Website inquiry and contact-form records are kept long enough to respond to your request and for a reasonable follow-up period, then deleted or de-identified unless a deal, a legal hold, or a recordkeeping duty requires a longer period.
- Credit applications, pre-qualification records, retail installment contracts, and deal jackets are kept for the life of the account and for the period required by federal credit-reporting, equal-credit, tax, and motor-vehicle record laws and by our finance sources. That period is commonly several years after the account is closed.
- Text-message logs and call records related to a request or an account are kept as needed to show consent, honor opt-out requests, and service the transaction.
- Server logs and basic analytics data are kept for a short operational period unless needed for security or debugging.
When we no longer need the information, we delete it, de-identify it, or securely archive it according to our records schedule. If you ask us to delete information that the law or a finance contract requires us to keep, we will limit further use to those required purposes and delete the rest.
Children’s privacy
This website and our dealership services are directed to adults who are buying, selling, or financing a motor vehicle. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not sell the personal data of children.
If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, contact us at (817) 221-8018 or sales@cowtownusedcars.com. We will delete the information promptly unless we are required by law to keep it.
If we ever collect personal data from a known child under 13, we will do so only with verifiable parental consent and only as the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and Texas law allow. Texas treats personal data collected from a known child as sensitive personal data.
